History
Church Planting- Beliving he was the Holy Spirit in Human form, he began his teaching. (IGC p119)
- Later he found 2 companions, Priscila and Maximilla, that traveled and taught with him. (IGC p119)
- Several early Christians embraced his ideas. (IGC p119)
- Later as Christians became more familar with the New Prophecy Movement, they started to distance themslves from it. (IGC p119)

Ages of God's activity- There are 3 ages of God's acitivity in the world that corespond with God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (IGC p119)
- The first age is the age of the Father. This is the history of the Jews and their relationship to God. (IGC p119)
- The second age is the age of the Son, which refers to Jesus. (IGC p119)
- The final age it the age of the Spirit, it is when the Kingdom of God would come into being. (IGC p119)
- The capital of the Kingdom of God would be Montanus's hometwon, Pepuza. (IGC p119)
People
Montanus- From Phrygia in central Asia Minor (Turkey). (IGC p119)
- Originally a preist of Cybele (a manifestaion of Earth Goddess worship). (IGC p119)
- Converted ot Christianity around 144AD. (IGC p119)
- He belived he was posssed by the Holy Spirit and even went as far to say he was the Holy Spirit in human form. (IGC p119)
- He belived he was the fulfillment of the Gospel of John when it spoke about Jesus sending his disiples another paraclete to be their companion. (Holy Spirit) (IGC p119)
- He had two followers, Priscilla and Maximilla, who went with him on his travels and also claimed to be extensions of the Holy Spirit. (IGC p119)
- He believed, since he was the spirit incarnate, that his prophecies and that of his 2 companions superseded the writings of the apostles. (IGC p119)
