In response to the idea that the King James Bible is the only true inspired Word of God in English and all other translations are corruptions, because any word change violates Isa 40:8, Matt 24:35 and similar verses. I show how interpreting "words" in the most literal sense creates an argument that even the KJV cannot pass. In my continuing desire to "avoid foolish ... contentions ... for they are unprofitable and vain" - Titus 3:9 (KJV). I will attempt to remove this division and rekindle the same thinking in this area. " Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you" - 1 Cor 1:10 (KJV)

The table below shows a selection of over 100 instances where words have been added, removed, or modified since 1611. One can verify by looking at a facsimile reproduction of 1611. Or you can visit https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/1611-Bible/.

The common objection at this point states that the word changes are printer’s errors. However, we don't know simply by looking at the text if they are translator decisions, translator errors, or printer errors [as we shall see we have several examples of what we would have thought were printer’s errors, but were instead translator decisions]. It is wrong to assume they are typos.

Let us say, best case scenario, that these are all printer errors, consider what this argument really means. That God inspired the translators, but then stopped at the printers. This does not solve the problem, as the KJV that would have made it into the hands of the people would still not be the perfect word of God. In fact, you still cannot acquire a perfect KJV. Unless you believe a certain year was perfect. If it truly was God's desire to give the people his exact "perfect" (as defined by the KJO movement) words in English, using the KJV, he would have carried it through to the end as the scriptures say. "...My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure..." Isa 46:9 (KJV) "Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places" Ps 135:6 "For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?" Isa 14:27 " ...and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand..." - Dan 4:35 (KJV) God does not fail to do his will. And if the end result to people is a King James Bible with errors, then a "perfect", "inspired" translation must not have been God's intent with the KJV.

At this point I would like to provide some comfort in that God has still absolutely fulfilled his desire to preserve his word, as mentioned in several verses. "The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” When the bible says God "Loved the world so much" John 3:16, he wasn't talking about dirt/earth and seas (as in Acts 17:24), but instead the people the "world" contained. Similarly, He has preserved the meaning/message that the "word" contains. There are bad translations. But stick with a good word for word (like a modern KJV) and you will not be misled. You will understand everything God intended you to know.
Side Note: For those who interpret Matt 5:18 as literal to all text (even though it only specifies the law). The underlying Hebrew is a reference to a Yod and Yod's do not exist in English. If one desires a Yod that has not "passed away" then you need to read the bible in Hebrew. You will not find them in English. And if we are being literal the "tiddle" is a reference to slight lettering change, so even a font change would be blasphemes with this kind of interpretation.

The reality is much worse for the KJV only position as we actually have one remaining Bishop's bible the translators used to mark up and cross out what they wanted changed. The yellow highlighted rows on the table indicate places where we know the translator intended the 1611 wording. As such, the modern reading is not what the translators intended. This 1602 Bishops bible currently resides at the Oxford library. Pictures for some of the changes can be found at this site (scroll way down).
In addition, we have one of the translator's documents used in the translation process (MS98) where they hand wrote the updated verse which matches the 1611. Another instance where these could not have been printer errors as the same 1611 text appears in handwritten translator documents. These are highlighted in blue.
Highlighted in green are 1611 texts that match the source 1602 Bishops bible, but were later changed. It is highly unlikely that the translators made a change from the 1602 and then the printer made a mistake that exactly matched the 1602 text. As such, we have high confidence these are also translator decisions.
The remaining are possibly printer errors or translator decisions/errors
If you want a KJV that tries to get back to the translators consider the "New Cambridge Paragraph Bible" where one scholar tries to do just that. However, even he agrees the 1611 translators were not always right. (Dan 3:15 for example has "burning fiery" in the Aramaic, but was shortened in the 1611 as simply "firey")
